Kothimeera Tomato Cheese Toast
Share
Kothimeera Tomato Cheese Toast is your answer to a quick evening snack that actually has flavour. The fresh tang of kothimeera and dehydrated tomato in the podi melts into the cheese as it toasts, giving you something sharp, slightly spicy, and deeply satisfying in under ten minutes. Kothimeera Tomato Podi does all the seasoning work — no chopping, no mixing, no fuss.
Prep: 5 min | Cook: 5 min | Serves: 2 | Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Kothimeera Tomato Podi
- 2 slices bread (white, brown, or multigrain)
- 4 tbsp grated cheese (processed or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
- to taste salt
Method
- Apply a thin layer of butter on each bread slice and place them butter-side up on a tawa or directly in a pan on low-medium heat.
- Lay the tomato slices flat over each buttered slice in a single layer.
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Kothimeera Tomato Podi evenly over the tomato slices on each toast — you will catch the bright green of the kothimeera and the red flecks of dried tomato as it settles.
- Scatter the grated cheese generously on top so it covers the podi and tomato completely.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let it toast on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the underside of the bread turns golden and crisp — lift one corner to check.
- Slide off the tawa, add a light pinch of salt if needed, and serve immediately while the cheese is still pulling.
