Carrot Podi Corn Chaat
Share
Carrot Podi Corn Chaat is the kind of snack that needs no stove and no fuss — just sweet boiled corn, a handful of raw onion, a squeeze of lemon, and a generous spoonful of Dreamy Carrot Podi doing all the seasoning. The podi's mild heat and the natural sweetness of gajjara (carrot) make the corn taste like it was made for each other. No chaat masala, no extra spice mix — just the podi, and it's done.
Prep: 10 min | Cook: 0 min | Serves: 2 | Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Dreamy Carrot Podi
- 2 cups boiled sweet corn kernels (from 2 medium cobs or one tin, drained)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, roughly torn
- 1 small green chilli, finely chopped (optional, skip for kids)
- to taste salt
Method
- Drain the boiled corn well and spread it in a wide bowl — the drier the corn, the better the podi sticks to each kernel.
- Add the chopped onion and green chilli (if using) and toss together.
- Sprinkle the Dreamy Carrot Podi over the corn. Start with 1½ teaspoons and add the rest once you taste — the podi is mild, so don't hold back.
- Squeeze the lemon over everything and toss well until the corn is evenly coated and looks lightly golden-dusted from the podi.
- Scatter the torn coriander leaves over the top, taste for salt, and adjust.
- Serve immediately in small bowls or paper cones — this chaat is best eaten fresh while the corn is still warm.
